I recently got the privilege to attend the Realm Makers Conference and Expo and it was an absolute blast!

I loved being able to connect with other authors. It was a surreal experience that God truly blessed me with.

One fun part of the conference was the opportunity to attend a launch party for the novel Worlds Collide by Clint Hall.

Clint Hall has been a huge encouragement to me in my writing journey, so it was really cool to celebrate the launch of his newest book! I even got myself a signed copy! While the novel doesn’t officially go live until July 14, 2026, it is available for preorder now.

It’s a crazy experience to be walking around the same conference as some of your favorite authors.

I met Wayne Thomas Batson, award winning and bestselling author of titles such as The Door Within Trilogy and The Dream Treaders Series.

I absolutely love Wayne’s books! He’s a very kind man and a very talented writer.

While at the conference, I was also able to pitch my novel to two publishers. My first pitch was to the one and only Steve Laube. He’s the owner of the Steve Laube Agency and publisher of Enclave Publishing. To say the least, I have a lot of respect for him.

It was a great experience to pitch to Steve. After years of listening to him on podcasts and reading his articles on writing, it was awesome to be sitting at the same table and talking with him about my writing.

My second pitch went really well and was a huge encouragement. I was privileged to pitch to L.G. McCary, the acquisitions editor for Obsidian (part of Quill & Flame Publishing). It was great to talk with someone who loves supernatural thrillers as much as I do as well as values theology and sees the importance of including it in our stories. I am really excited to see what books Obsidian will offer in the years to come!

Meeting with Steve Rzasa was great! Steve is the author of numerous books, most notably The Mercury Hale Series.

He’s been really influential with my current novel and very encouraging. Not to mention, he helped me find my niche in the writing world. It truly was a blessing!

Overall, this was an amazing conference! I met so many authors, including Nadine Brandes, Sophia L. Hansen, Street Hymns, and S.D. Grimm, and I got a lot of books (some of them were for free, so that completely justifies it)!

If you’re a speculative fiction writer, I highly recommend the Realm Makers conference. It’s so encouraging and informative. I really enjoyed it, and I’m sure you would too!
